Pet and aquatics trade looks ahead to PATS 2011
Just one month after PATS Harrogate closed and a few days after returning from Interzoo in Germany, the pet and aquatics trade is already looking ahead and re-booking for PATS 2011.
Companies who have reserved space include those who have been with PATS since its 2009 launch, such as Barking and Meowing Heads, BBD Pet Products, Beaphar UK, Bern Pet Foods, Burns Pet Nutrition, Crown Petfoods (Royal Canin and James Wellbeloved), Doggy Things, Fadulla, Gor Pets, HG Gladwell & Sons, Hemmo & Co, Johnson’s Veterinary Products, Kennel Nutrition (Vitalin Petfoods), P&L Superior Pet Beds, Pedigree Wholesale, Pet Republic, Petlife International, Petsafe, Pointer Pet Foods, Skinners Petfoods, Sky Pet Products, Versele-Laga, VIP Engravers, Wagg Foods and Wilkinson’s Pet Bedding.
And the many exhibitors who have requested space in 2011 after a successful first year with PATS in 2010 include AJM Pet Products, Best Friends Pet Products, Danish Design Pet Products UK, Feelwell’s, R.C. Hagen, High Ridge Products, MPM Products, Nestle Purina Petcare (UK), Pettex, Salepoint, Supreme Petfoods, Walter Harrison’s, Wicked or What and Wilson’s Doggie Confectionery.
John Gauton, National Sales Manager of bedding specialists Danish Design, explains why the company will return to PATS in 2011 after its first PATS experience in 2010:
"The PATS Show at Harrogate very much built on the success of the first show at Sandown Park. As well as being a great forum for meeting existing customers, the show generated many enquiries from new contacts, the majority of which have been converted into new business in the weeks following the show. We felt that the footfall was good, and of the right quality, which gave excellent exposure to the new products that were launched at the show. All aspects of the organisation were excellent with friendly support staff. Overall, for Danish Design, PATS was a great success."
And Michael Marjoram, Production Director of Skinners Petfoods, who exhibited at PATS in 2009 and 2010 said:
“There has been a steady flow of visitors, including new contacts and customers placing orders; all have been enthusiastic about our show-only deals here at PATS”.
2011 will be the third year for the UK’s dual-venue, dedicated pet and aquatics trade show. As for the last two years, the southern PATS will take place in Sandown Park, Esher, Surrey March 22nd and 23rd and the northern show at Harrogate’s International Centre, North Yorkshire, April 5th and 6th.
PATS organiser Annie Dyke explains that the 2011 shows will be larger:
“A number of exhibitors were disappointed that we couldn’t accommodate them at PATS Sandown this year. To satisfy such demand as far as possible, and to maximise customer flow for the benefit of exhibitors and visitors, we’ve worked out ways of expanding exhibitor space yet still keeping everyone in one main hall. And at Harrogate, we are expanding to use an additional hall so the show itself will cover three halls, with the addition of the Royal Hall once again for relaxation and refreshment.”
