NEW APPOINTMENT AT SMARTBEDZ

Suffolk-based animal bedding manufacturer SmartBedz has appointed Nigel Bateson to the role of Sales and Marketing Manager.

Nigel, who will be responsible for the brands range of eco-friendly straw pellets, joins the company after six years as Sales and Marketing Manager at My Pet Foods.

Speaking of his new role, Nigel said; “I am really excited by my new role within the SmartBedz team. With the growing demand for environmentally friendly products, it is clear that this will be an interesting challenge, and I am looking forward to using my experience and expertise to help further develop the brand. One of the first steps we are taking is to exhibit at both PAT Shows and we look forward to seeing lots of people there”

The SmartBedz ranges of straw pellets were launched in March 2010. Suitable as both small pet bedding and as a larger animal litter, the pellets have proved popular with consumers looking for an effective natural alternative to traditional animal bedding and litter.

Founder Mark Stone said; “We are delighted to have Nigel on board. We have lots of exciting plans in the pipeline, and Nigel’s extensive experience will only strengthen the brand.”
