The marketing communications agency, which specialises in working with the pet industry, believes a good brief is the cornerstone to success and has created a free downloadable guide to help kickstart the process.

It is intended to provide pet businesses with a starting point to help them shop around for creative services, lay out expectations and save time and money.

“Branding or any graphic design project should have a considered approach. It needs to be informed by the client who can outline the vision and values of the business, its objectives and target markets,” said Tillymint’s founder Alison Gallagher-Hughes.

“When undertaking a branding or design project, we want that visual identity to say something about the company, be easy to apply and help inform or contribute to a wider design style that is consistent and instantly recognisable”

The guide is a springboard to map out a scope of work and specific design requirements, alongside background information to support research.

Added Alison: “Commissioning design work is an investment and if done properly will have longevity and support visibility. We need to do all we can to make the right choices and get it right first time. In the long run this will provide return on investment and support wider marketing objectives.

Tillymint Communications will be exhibiting at PATS 2024, on Stand P12, in Hall 3.

At PATS 2024 it was lovely to reconnect with our existing customers while also having the opportunity to meet potential new ones. We were thrilled to launch three new ranges during the show, Canagan Petite, Canagan Raw (Freeze Dried Treats and Toppers) and Symply Little, all of which have sold amazingly well, further highlighting the value of this event for showcasing our innovations. Looking ahead, we believe that the Birmingham NEC could offer significant advantages, including improved transport links and a larger venue to accommodate a growing number of exhibitors and visitors, both will enhance the overall experience.

We’ve come to PATS for the whole three days because you just can’t do it justice in only two. For us, as we deal with the whole spectrum of the pet industry, we spend day one wandering through the halls to see what catches our eye and day two doing our buying – but we’ve found that by the end of the second day we haven’t always got round to everyone. So the third day is a real bonus. There is less of a rush to get it all done and we can spend more time building relationships and ensuring we’ve caught all the deals and found all the new products we might want to stock. PATS is an important highlight of the year and we wouldn’t want to miss any of it!

It was great to see the Aquatics Zone sold out and full of exhibitors. PATS keeps growing in a good way because it gives more companies – big and small, old and new – the platform to make their mark.
