As the UK and international pet industry enters a New Year with great expectations,

PATS 2025 at the NEC Birmingham will be one of the highlights of a busy and exciting year.

The Pet & Aquatics Trade Show takes place in Hall 1 at the NEC from Sunday 28th September to Tuesday 30th September 2025, and with still nine months to go before the show more than 100 companies have already confirmed their participation.

“The demand for stand space at PATS has been great, with many exhibitors booking larger stands as they seek to take advantage of the extra space that the NEC provides,” said PATS event director Gordon Thomas.

“It’s always exciting to reach certain milestones like breaking through the 100-exhibitor mark so soon – it shows there is a real appetite for PATS 2025 and that the move to the NEC has been really warmly welcomed.

Showcasing all the latest launches under one roof, the show’s reputation has grown impressively over the past 16 years since launching in 2009. With such a winning formula, PATS has become the ‘must-visit’ event for UK and international retailers and buyers.

Companies and brands to have already secured their stand space include: Ancol Pet Products, Company of Animals, Danish Design, Flamingo Pet Products, flexi, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, James & Steel, Johnson’s Veterinary Products, Kennelpak, KONG, LickiMat,  Pedigree Wholesale, Pet Trade Innovations, Petface, Pets Choice, Scruffs, Su-Bridge Pet Supplies, TRIXIE, and Wilsons Pet Food.

The early exhibitor stand bookings of Belgian company Flamingo Pet Products and German brands flexi and TRIXIE proves that PATS is now regarded as a must-attend international exhibition.

Flamingo Pet Products will be exhibiting at PATS for the first time and the company’s global head of sales and marketing Dave Diels said his team was excited by the prospect of showcasing the wide range of products in the UK. “Flamingo Pet Products has over 50 years of pet excellence, offering over 8,500 snacks and accessories for pets. With expertise in private label, trusted sourcing, and a 95%+ service level, we ensure pet owners worldwide enjoy top-quality products. Together, we make pets happier! Visit our website at www.flamingo.be for more information.”

Flexi will be returning to PATS 2025 after an absence, and Flexi’s Adrian Hind said the brand was excited about appearing at the show. “Being staged at the NEC with its strong transport links, this three-day event is a must for all pet buyers, both UK and internationally based. We look forward to welcoming customers, old and new, as we will showcase our wide range, including Xtreme, One and our latest innovation Select.”

Shaunie Blore, area sales manager of TRIXIE UK, explained the reasons behind her company’s early booking: “The move to the NEC in Birmingham this year gives us the added advantage of having more space to showcase both our latest product innovations and our extensive range of existing products. PATS always serves as an important platform for networking within the pet industry. Each year, we are delighted by the positive, professional atmosphere that PATS offers, and we are eager to return to continue building on our relationships and strengthening our presence in the UK.”

Australian brand LickiMat will also be returning to PATS after a successful show in 2024. “The UK team at LickiMat thoroughly enjoyed meeting customers, both familiar and new, as well as connecting with other exhibitors at PATS 2024,” said Alison Pilkington, from the brand’s marketing and operations department. “The enthusiasm and support from attendees was truly inspiring, and the scope to connect with other exhibitors was invaluable. We’re already looking forward to continuing these conversations at PATS 2025 at the NEC in Birmingham.”

PATS 2025 will retain all its popular features:

  • New Product Showcase and Awards
  • Aquatics Zone
  • New Starter Zone
  • Grooming Workshop

We are thrilled with the incredible response from our very first exhibition at PATS! The three days were absolutely brilliant, giving us the opportunity to connect with many new and existing customers. PATS proved to be the perfect platform for launching our new catalogue and introducing over 350 brand-new SKUs. We can't wait to be a part of next year's event at the NEC!

I think it’s a great idea to add a third day to PATS. We’re here for all three days, giving us enough time to meet everyone and make informed decisions about stocking new products. We also like PATS because of all the networking opportunities.

At PATS 2024 it was lovely to reconnect with our existing customers while also having the opportunity to meet potential new ones. We were thrilled to launch three new ranges during the show, Canagan Petite, Canagan Raw (Freeze Dried Treats and Toppers) and Symply Little, all of which have sold amazingly well, further highlighting the value of this event for showcasing our innovations. Looking ahead, we believe that the Birmingham NEC could offer significant advantages, including improved transport links and a larger venue to accommodate a growing number of exhibitors and visitors, both will enhance the overall experience.

We’ve been rushed off our feet on all three days. It has been an excellent show and I love the fact you can spend more time with visitors. I will definitely need a larger stand in 2025

We’ve missed going to Aqua so we’re really happy to be visiting the Aquatics Zone at PATS. We’ve come to see the new products, find out about deals on offer and meet people face to face. It’s also a great opportunity for networking with other shops and companies and building new relationships – something we have missed out on during the Covid years

We’ve come to PATS for the whole three days because you just can’t do it justice in only two. For us, as we deal with the whole spectrum of the pet industry, we spend day one wandering through the halls to see what catches our eye and day two doing our buying – but we’ve found that by the end of the second day we haven’t always got round to everyone. So the third day is a real bonus. There is less of a rush to get it all done and we can spend more time building relationships and ensuring we’ve caught all the deals and found all the new products we might want to stock. PATS is an important highlight of the year and we wouldn’t want to miss any of it!

It was great to see the Aquatics Zone sold out and full of exhibitors. For us at J&K it was a pleasure, as always, to catch up with a good number of our longstanding customers as well as meet with and introduce our brands and product ranges to potential new ones. Hopefully the new format for 2025, moving into a larger venue, capable of accommodating even more exhibitors, and with better air, road and rail access, will encourage even more visitors, allowing the show to grow in the years to come.

I’m a big advocate of having three show days because it gives you more time to spend with clients. PATS keeps growing in a good way because it gives more companies – big and small, old and new – the platform to make their mark. I had a look at the New Starter Zone and loved the buzz that these new companies were creating. PATS is great for the UK pet industry
