PATS Telford is a massive hit with visitors and exhibitors26-Sep-2017
The pet trade has given PATS Telford a massive thumbs-up with exhibitors and visitors agreeing that it has been one of the best shows yet.
Retailers from both the UK and overseas filled the venue to create a surge of activity over two days of business as more than 300 brands showcased their new launches.
The mood amongst visitors was summed up by Rachael Franks, of Priory Paws, who said: “It has been a brilliant show, the best ever. It’s great to see so many new companies. I will definitely be returning next year.”
And Katie Coleman, of pet food retailers Maw Agri in Somerset, commented: “It’s our first time visiting PATS and it’s a great place to find new products and wholesalers. We’ve made lots of contacts and are leaving very happy. What a great show!”
Exhibitors were also quick to give their approval of the two-day show.
Jo Amit, of award-winning company HOWND, said: “There has been a buzz in the exhibition hall from start to finish. We literally haven’t stopped speaking to visitors to our stand the whole time.”
Natures Menu were another company whose stand was busy throughout the show. Peter Roy of Natures Menu said: “It has been an excellent show for us and we’ve had great interest in our new launch True Instinct, selling over 230 freezers.”
Pet Munchies, who have been attending PATS shows for the past seven years, summed up the mood perfectly with managing director Suzanne Rothman saying: “It gets better and better every show. This year has been phenomenal.”
Naturediet’s Emily Cannon said: “I’m over the moon with the response from visitors to PATS. We’ve had so many positive conversations.”
As well as hundreds of new products being unveiled at the show, one of the highlights was the new-look Grooming Workshop.
The interactive demonstrations involved some of the country’s leading groomers and highlighted the knowledge and expertise required to successfully complete all traditional grooming techniques.
Groomer Louise Blair, of Pooch Perfect, travelled from the Scottish Borders, and she commented: “It has been worth the trip. I’ve picked up so many tips, ideas, styles and seen some great new products.”
PATS Telford also saw a Meet the Buyer event in the Buyers Centre, which saw buyers from Switzerland, Spain, Slovakia, Sweden, Finland and the Netherlands have meetings with 26 UK manufacturers. The event was run in association with PetQuip, and commercial manager Charlie Parker said the event had been a huge success.
The final word went to PATS organiser Annie Foord, who said: “We love running this show for the pet industry so it’s fantastic to hear that exhibitors and visitors have experienced a brilliant event again this year. It’s great to hear so many positive comments about the exhibition.”
