Bamfords has been one of the UK’s top manufacturers and wholesalers of high-quality bird and animal feed for over a century.
As a fourth-generation independent family business based in Lancashire, we have honed our knowledge of the feed industry since the company was established by Robert Bamford in 1922.
We have used this expertise, feedback from customers and investment in research and development to continuously bring the best new products to the market for bird wellbeing, breeding and performance.
Today, we have over 50 experts at our manufacturing and storage facility in Leyland, Lancashire, led by a team including Philip and Alan Bamford (Robert’s grandchildren) as well as Philip’s daughter Danielle Taylor.
Our Bamfords Top Flight wild bird, aviary and pigeon racing ranges are stocked across the UK and many of our customer network of national retailers, stockists, garden centres and pet shops have been with us for decades. We’re also working with customers in a growing number of global markets, including Ireland, the Netherlands and Kuwait.
Our core range
Bamfords Top Flight Wild Bird
Top Flight Wild Bird is our premium range of all-purpose wild bird mix, developed using our industry knowledge and market-leading manufacturing equipment.
Our blends include extra vitamins and minerals not found in traditional mixtures and many are enriched with the TVM Energy Pellet, a natural health aid. We also supply a range of straight feeds.
Bamfords Top Flight Aviary
Our premium aviary products are designed to keep cage and aviary birds healthy throughout the year.
We have a range of mixtures designed for different breeds including budgies, finches, goldfinches and parrots as well as straight feeds specifically for aviary birds.
Bamfords Top Flight Pigeon
Our Top Flight Pigeon range is developed personally by director Alan Bamford with our experts, using decades of knowledge of rearing winning birds for both long and short distances.
We have a variety of mixes designed to maximise performance at all stages of a bird’s life from breeding to racing, widowhood and moulting. Many blends contain our unique Pro-Tec Health Aid to support a healthy digestive and immune system.
We also supply a range of straight feeds and a variety of healthcare products including multivitamins, nasal drops and powders to support respiration.
New product launch: Top Flight Eggs Bamford
Our groundbreaking new wild bird mix Eggs Bamford is being officially launched at PATS 2025 and will be available on our stand throughout the show.
This first-on-the-market premium blend contains moist egg food made from fresh eggs, natural honey, vegetable proteins and minerals, enriched with peanut granules, fine-cut oats, and sunflower hearts.
Suitable for all birds, it is perfect for rearing fledglings in spring and feeding year-round to support healthy growth.
