Backed by Royal Recognition
Our efforts have not gone unnoticed. In a landmark moment for our team and our city, Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited our Wolverhampton-based community centre in 2021 as part of their mental health awareness week work. During their visit, they engaged with children and families participating in our therapy sessions, exploring how our animal-assisted services help people struggling with anxiety, social isolation, and learning challenges.

Therapy and Education, Delivered Through Animal Encounters
Our programmes are tailored to those who need them most:
- Animal-Assisted Interventions (AAI): Structured sessions using small animals, reptiles, and fish to support children and adults facing emotional, behavioural, or mental health challenges.
- Sensory Room and Education Experiences: For children with special educational needs, autism, or sensory sensitivities, our sensory room and interactive animal zones offer calm, immersive environments for learning and development.
- Community Aquarium and Mental Health Groups: Open to schools, care homes, men’s mental health groups, and the general public, providing safe and enriching experiences that reduce loneliness and promote connection.
These sessions take place in our purpose-built facility — a one-of-a-kind space that merges a therapy centre, petting zoo, and community hub into a welcoming, inclusive setting.
