Say goodbye to frantic gobbling and hello to calmer eating!

-Pup & Kit

Meet the Pup & Kit Slow Feeder Bowl Insert! Designed to turn your pet bowl into a slow feeder.

Made from extra thick, BPA-free silicone, it suctions securely into our Lid-It bowls (and most standard pet bowls) and is dishwasher safe.

Mark, Pup & Kit founder, explains why they chose to launch the insert:

"All credit for the slow feeder bowl insert has to go to Monty, my exceptionally greedy pooch who tries to break the world record for eating his dinner every mealtime!

Unlike Woody 🐾 (my other Dachshund) who uses our Lid-it bowl every day, the same couldn’t be said for Monty as he needed a slow feeder (along with 32% of all other dogs!). So I went about finding a solution that could complement the Lid-it bowl but also provide flexibility of use."

☑️ Converts your bowl into a slow feeder
☑️ Extra thick, silicone walls for durability
☑️ Super strong suction cup - tested by Monty!
☑️ Removable and dishwasher safe
☑️ Food-grade, BPA free silicone

You’ll be pleased to hear that Monty can now use his Lid-it bowl with a little help from this nifty accessory…and so can many, many more dogs too!

Why choose a slow feeder?

🐾 Improves Digestion - Eating too quickly can cause pets to swallow air, leading to bloating, vomiting, or gas. A slow feeder bowl forces pets to eat more slowly, giving their stomach time to properly process food.

🐾 Helps Prevent Bloat - In dogs, especially large breeds, eating too fast is a risk factor for bloat, a potentially life-threatening condition. Slowing down mealtime helps reduce this risk.

🐾 Aids in Weight Management - Eating quickly can cause pets to overeat because their brain doesn’t register fullness right away. Slower eating helps pets feel full on less food, which can be useful for overweight or food-driven pets.

🐾 Provides Mental Stimulation - The maze-like designs of slow feeders turn mealtime into a mini puzzle, engaging your pet’s brain. This mental challenge can reduce boredom and related behaviours like chewing or whining.

🐾 Reduces Choking Risk - Pets who gobble down kibble might not chew properly, increasing the risk of choking. Slow feeders encourage chewing and smaller bites.

🐾 7. Great for Fast Eaters - If your pet finishes a meal in under 30 seconds, a slow feeder is almost certainly a good idea. It can stretch a 30-second meal into a few minutes or more.
